Jur-Ass-Kicked is the largest and most committing objective on the Ashley Gorge Via Ferrata. It climbs roughly 1000 feet from the canyon floor up a jutting prow of rock face, with the first 700 feet characterized by steep, sustained, and highly exposed terrain before reaching the crux. Climbers can access the wall from two lower starting points or connect to it through Jur-Ass-Is-Cutoff, which provides a bidirectional connection between T-Rex Terrace and the wall. Jur-Ass-Is-Cutoff can also function as an exit for climbers who begin the wall but decide not to continue through the upper sections.
As climbers progress higher, the route becomes increasingly exposed and eventually reaches Exposure Therapy, the upper crux of the Jurasskicked. Its defining feature is an approximately 75-foot overhanging double-helix ladder positioned hundreds of feet above the canyon floor. The wall also includes optional challenges such as Launch Sequence, Space Man, and the Womb Fight chimney alternative. Climbers should evaluate fitness, experience, weather, wind, daylight, water, and the speed of their group before committing to the wall, since retreat becomes more complicated as elevation and distance increase.
