Practice Area
A short introductory section where climbers can practice using their equipment and moving through cable transitions before entering the main route.
Route Overview
the Gorge Through the practice area
The Practice Area gives climbers a controlled place to become familiar with a helmet, harness, via ferrata lanyard, and fixed cable system. Visitors can practice transferring their carabiners past cable anchors while keeping at least one carabiner connected at all times.
Groups should use the Practice Area to confirm that everyone understands the equipment and feels comfortable moving on fixed rungs and cables. Anyone who remains uncertain after practicing should reconsider climbing independently and may benefit from booking a guided trip.
